When putting together the Opening Ceremony collection I let my feelings be my guide. I delved into the collection and culled from it the parts that would, in a relaxed way, provide a Made-in-New-York attitude and sophistication to our concept store.
In this Opening Ceremony capsule you’ll find items with which to create iconic looks. Just one garment will refresh your look.
You’ll also find the kind of item you can share with your partner, yielding a more contemporary form of dress: the agender / genderless style, an unstoppable trend in the fashion world today.
Our Opening Ceremony selection:
Pants, plush sweater, dresses, skirts, t-shirts, jackets, overcoats.
Flared, masculine, pencil, oversized.
Yellow, camel, whites, blues, blacks, patterns.
Wools, cottons, silks, neoprene.
Mini, midi, maxi.
When to wear them:
On the job, at parties, for leisure.
Different ways to use them:
Plush (sweater) that you’ll be able to wear with your skirts.
Pencil dresses that you can wear at work or to parties, depending on the shoes you’re going to wear.
Oversized coats that you can put on over dresses.
Flared skirts to mix with your shirts, tucked in, or with your little cardigans …
This week we present to you our complete Opening Ceremony capsule, a personal selection: an item selected for each one of you.
Opening Ceremony: dare to discover it. We tell you how to wear it. You’re bound to wear something right out the door.
Opening Ceremony was founded in 2002 by two friends at UC Berkeley – Carol Lim and Humberto Leon – as a place to share their passion for travel, art and fashion. Inspired by a trip to Hong Kong, they decided to quit their jobs in corporate fashion to pursue a dream. What started out as a shop on a quiet street in the center of New York is now a global community present in New York, London and Los Angeles, with a department store in Tokyo.
